As for this current RE market, a buy & hold strategy would be the safest, most efficient measure to take. You do however, need to do your due diligence on the area you are looking to invest in. Do not try to go at it alone, assuming you are a newbie. Get educated by reading books, attend RE investment clubs (be careful not to buy into the crap they sell either), get a mentor, and surf the web for valuable information. Good luck.
